Lyn Litchfield
Chairman
PBMC Ltd
Lyn Litchfield joined the Board of the Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce in 2011. She is a devoted player in Finnish/Nordic communities in the UK. She also serves as Vice Chairman of the Anglo-Finnish Society.
 
A Chinese-born Finn, a Freeman of the City of London, Lyn began her career as a TV journalist and news reporter. Following her 15-year service at Nokia in various global key positions, over the past decade, as the MD of PBMC Ltd, she has built a highly successful business in securing international broadcasting rights for major sports IPs.
 
She speaks five languages, holds a BA degree in Journalism & Mass Communications and an MA degree in Economics.
Kevin Connors

Kevin has over 35 years of international commercial banking experience primarily with Nordea Bank, with positions based in London, Singapore and Stockhom, including leading Nordea’s London and Singapore Branches.

Paul Alexander
Nokia

Paul is VP – Market Unit Head, Nokia UK&I & Head of Cloud Infrastructure, Europe. Having dived into Telecoms straight from university in the very early 90’s, Paul has witnessed first-hand the evolution of communications from the first generation of Mobile Telephony through to today’s increasingly complex and ever evolving communications landscape.

Along the way, Paul has held senior leadership roles at WorldCom, Marconi, and Alcatel. Paul also heads Nokia Europe’s expansion into cloud networks, an area poised as the next major growth frontier in the communications industry.

Mika Paljakka
Metsä Group

Mika Paljakka is Metsä Tissue’s Senior Vice President for the UK & Ireland region, appointed in 2021, and a member of Metsä Tissue’s Management Team. Prior to his current role, Mika has held various leadership positions within Metsä Group since joining in 2000, covering areas such as Sales, Human Resources, and Business Processes.

His broad experience gives him a deep understanding of Metsä’s value chain, from forest to end user, making him a key asset in leading Metsä Tissue’s major UK investment and contributing valuable skills to the FBCC board.

Markku Launonen

Markku has more than 30 years of experience in IT and international business development. He currently works as an independent IT business consultant. Originally from Finland, he has lived in the UK for over 20 years and has been a board member since 2017.

Helena Whitmore
SEB

Head of SEB 1856 UK, part of SEB’s Private Wealth Management & Family Office business area. She is a tax and wealth planning specialist with many years’ experience of advising members of the Nordic community in the UK. 

Prior to joining SEB Helena was the head of the private client department for an international law firm based in London.

 Originally from Sweden, Helena has lived in the UK for over 35 years, developing an extensive network over that time.

Lord Justice Richard Snowden

The Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Snowden studied law at Cambridge University and Harvard Law School. 

He became a barrister in 1986 and was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 2003, specialising in company law, corporate insolvency and commercial litigation. 

He was appointed a High Court Judge in 2015 and was promoted to the Court of Appeal in October 2021.

Richard has been connected with Finland through his close family for 40 years, and has been similarly associated with the FBCC since its inception.

He became a board member in 2020.

Aksu Tuominen
Borenius

Aksu is counsel in the capital markets practice at Borenius, a top Finnish law firm with offices in London and New York. With over a decade of experience, he advises issuers, underwriters, and shareholders on capital markets transactions, disclosure, and ESG. 

Aksu holds a law degree, an MA in linguistics, and an MBA from Henley Business School. Outside of work, he enjoys culture, gastronomy, aerobics, and playing piano. 

While a Finn at heart, he embraces London’s cosmopolitan vibe and takes a global business perspective. He is honored to contribute to FBCC’s noble causes.
